National Championships 2013
National Championships held at Southport
KFA members from across the British Isles met again at the Floral Ballroom, Southport for the biennial KFA National Championships. Whether competing in one or more of the ten exercise, movement, fitness, apparatus or dance categories or coming to support their friends and members from their Region, everyone agreed that, again the standard of performance had been raised and this show is one of the best shows of talent, skill and dance styles around today.
The Southport Convention Centre is not particularly large, but it was filled to capacity on both days with an enthusiastic and knowledgeable audience who marked their programmes and sympathised with the judges having to make nigh on impossible decisions between one performance and another. all agreed that the KFA Championships is a magnificent show which is still the best kept secret in the dance fitness world.
Now to the performers. It is sometimes almost impossible to believe that those we see on the dance floor are not professional dancers. They more often that not hold down 'day jobs' and only take part in their chosen exercise, movement or dance discipline in the evenings or at week-ends. Those who came to watch the show will confirm that for two days, each and every one of the three hundred or so competitors demonstrated an impressive level of skill and ability worthy of many professionals.
Although nothing can compare with being there and sharing the atmosphere of the competitions, there is a video of the entire two day event available which will attest to these amazing performances and show the talent we possess within the KFA across the wide range of styles that comprise the EMDP portfolio.Follow this link for a DVD Order form
