Every year at our National AGM we are delighted to recognise the contribution our volunteers make to the Keep Fit Association. The winners announced for 2011 are

Annette Salter – Committee Member and Overall winner.Annette Salter was nominated as Volunteer of the Year in the Committee Member category. Upon reading her citation she was adjudged to also be the overall winner of the award for 2011. Annette has been a registered KFA Teacher for over 30 years and, in addition to her weekly classes, has been involved in the development of the association in the South West for most of this time, working tirelessly for both local and regional committees in a number of strategic roles including Chair, Treasurer, Training Secretary and PRO. Janet Reay – Teacher Section Winner 2011
Janet Reay, winner of the Teacher Section was nominated by members of her class in recognition of the dedication and support she has given to the KFA and her class over the last 37 years. This included a total of 19 years as a committee member for South East Essex KFA before being elected to Area Chair in 2008; as team member of the working party producing the region's annual Showcase/AGM (2007-2008) and leading the region's 60th anniversary celebrations in 2009. She was also more recently a member of the working party organising both Concordat and the National AGM, which were both hosted by Eastern Counties on behalf of the national KFA. |

Jean Roebuck - Member Section Winner 2011.
Jean Roebuck has been a member of Halifax KFA for 54 years during which time she has been a stalwart class member and taken part in many class displays. She has attended every one of the past fifty National AGM, which may be a record for even our dedicated membership. Jean is well known for tirelessly supporting her own and surrounding branches at all types of KFA events, often working in the background on the tea, tombola and raffle stalls. |
